Requirements of position

Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Associate performs all tasks involved in the loading/unloading of shipments and receipts for storage. This includes loading/unloading products and stacking/organizing products. Duties/Responsibilities: • Performs work as assigned by production supervisor and/or group leader • Reviews lot number of materials to ensure it matches Packing List • Inspects incoming raw material and/or packaging for temperature, color, odor or damage • Reviews and processes paperwork for both incoming and outgoing shipments • Unloads raw material and ingredients per SOP • Drives forklift (or other power equipment) safely to avoid pedestrians and structures • Assesses sanitary condition of the truck inbound and outbound • Loads products for shipment • Controls temperature monitoring device inbound and outbound • Records information in Seasoft and other logs • Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or product issues • Collects and transfers packaging material from production area • Maintains a clean and safe work area • Follows EHS, GMP, HR and other company policies • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time • Reads Bulletin Boards, participates in department huddles and attends required meetings/trainings to learn important company information • Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: • N/A Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good organizational and time-management skills. • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems. • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (training and certification provided if necessary). • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to follow safety guidelines and company protocols. • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work. Education/Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics is a plus. • Forklift certification is preferred but can be obtained on the job Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, as needed. • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods. • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers. • May be required to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
