Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits:
$17.42/hr 
Full Time (Schedule TBD) Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts. 
 
Job Description: If you're passionate about helping individuals with disabilities live more independently and enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, this could be the opportunity for you. As a Direct Service Professional Supervisor / Residential Unit Coordinator, you will provide direct support and supervision to residents in a residential setting. You will also lead by example on the floor, support DSP staff, and help foster a positive team culture.
                                    
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct supervision, support, and assistance to residents
  2. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  3. Provide individualized, one-on-one support based on each resident's needs and goals
  4. Administer and document medications
  5. Implement behavioral support strategies and intervention plans developed by clinical staff
  6. Monitor residents' health and report changes, concerns, or incidents 
  7. Transport residents to appointments and approved community activities
  8. Facilitate community outings, social activities, and opportunities for community integration
  9. Support residents in developing daily living, social, vocational, and independent living skills
  10. Collect accurate data on target behaviors and maintain detailed documentation of resident progress
  11. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, observations, incidents, and services provided
  12. Ensure required levels of supervision are maintained at all times
  13. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for residents
  14. Respond appropriately to emergencies, crises, and safety concerns
  15. Protect and advocate for the rights, needs, dignity, and independence of residents
  16. Maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents, families and coworkers 
  17. Lead by example on the floor and assist DSP staff with questions, needs, and daily responsibilities
  18. Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment and workplace culture
  19. Follow all facility, state, licensing, CMH, safety, emergency, and risk-management procedures
  20. Participate in required training programs, including QBS and medication administration training
  21. Operate company vehicles safely and only for authorized company use
  22. Perform other related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
 
  1. Must be at least 18 years of age
  2. Previous experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities preferred
  3. Must successfully complete medication administration training and testing
  4. QBS training is required
  5. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  6. Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  7. Strong patience, empathy, interpersonal, and communication skills
  8. Ability to handle challenging situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach
  9. Must be willing to work assigned schedules consistently and assist on other residential units when needed
  10. Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings
