Controller/Accountant Job Description The Controller ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Executes necessary tasks relating accounting issues. Shares all information and works together with related departments. You are responsible for assessing business expenses, preparing optimized budget plans, and doing monthly and yearly closings for their employer. Some duties include reviewing financial records, researching the market rate for key business costs, and adjusting the company ledger to accurately reflect balance sheets. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. The Controller collaborate with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. Major Responsibilities Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs Setting standard costs of manufactured goods Developing and analyzing cost standards Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc. Performing account reconciliations Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure Planning studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports Closes monthly financial statements with SVP’s reviewing and approval Ensures statements are produced timely and in compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and corporate requirements Prepares to reconcile all balance sheet account for SVP’s reviewing and approval Checks bank accounts, sales, inventory, manufacturing report on daily basis Checks all negotiables, ACH, and wire transfer prepared by AP and verify them with necessary document. Analyzes financial statements in detail Analyzes all expenses and expenditures Visiting manufacturing facility occasion. Support implementing cycle count in production area. Analyze Capex profit for investment with SVP Management's reviewing and approval Work and analyze company projects Work and analyze budgeting Work financial audit Qualification Skills & Experience Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software, Accounting Software, Inventory Software Advanced and Excel skills Must have strong attention to detail and an analytical aptitude. Must have strong communication skill and knows how to report and share any topic. Must be self-motivated, flexible team player and must be able to work under pressure. Must be extremely organized. Able to present reports to management in power point or other presentations. Able to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
