Requirements of position

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven track record in carrier sales with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of carrier operations, freight management, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with carriers and attend industry events.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for driving results.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities of position

- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, ensuring mutual growth and profitability.
- Develop strategic partnerships with regional, national, and global carriers to expand service offerings.
- Identify and secure new carrier accounts to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share and drive business growth.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the carrier industry.
- Stay updated on competitor activities and emerging technologies in logistics and transportation.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership based on market analysis.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless carrier onboarding and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align carrier sales strategies with broader business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, carrier performance, and revenue growth.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on carrier sales activities and outcomes.
- Develop and refine KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
