Pay: Direct Hire $60,000 - $70,000 yr
Monday – Friday 8:00AM -5:00PM
Job Description:
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely shipment of all orders while meeting documented service requirements. This role oversees all activities within the Shipping Department and is also responsible for supervising the day-to-day shipping and fulfillment operations for the company's Wholesale business, ensuring efficient order processing, inventory coordination, and on-time customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily operations within the department, including the Wholesale shipping function.
• Ensure all materials shipped are verified against the routing guide for accuracy.
• Establish and maintain procedures to meet company and customer delivery commitments through effective planning, labor allocation, and material handling.
• Coordinate shipping methods and follow established operational procedures while resolving issues related to expedited or priority shipments.
• Ensure all wholesale orders are processed, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
• Supervise the flow of products from Inventory through Shipping to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Coordinate shipping priorities to support both retail/e-commerce and wholesale customer requirements.
• Utilize warehouse management and shipping software to track, prioritize, and route orders.
• Review and approve department timecards.
• Manage and maintain all shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and related records.
• Monitor departmental labor costs and productivity while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Partner with Inventory, Customer Service, Sales, and Wholesale teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and shipping regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage KPI’s
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
• Proven success leading multiple operational departments and managing large teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, and logistics.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout warehouse and production areas.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet operational demands and business objectives
