Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our healthcare team in South Miami Beach. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients while providing excellent customer service.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Assist physicians and clinical staff during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, collect specimens, and complete other clinical tasks as directed.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers in both English and Spanish.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform additional administrative and clinical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office or outpatient clinic.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
