Bench Inspector
Consolidated Industries is currently seeking two detail-oriented and reliable Bench Inspectors to join their team in Cheshire, CT. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-established company known for high-quality forged components in aerospace and other critical industries.
As a Bench Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that products meet strict quality standards through visual inspection and defect removal.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of products and components at the bench.
- Perform visual checks and use measuring tools to verify dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
- Identify, document, and remove any product defects according to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and report findings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality control procedures and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
- Suggest improvements to inspection processes or product quality.
🛠️ Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certifications in quality control are a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or quality inspection preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects or deviations.
- Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques (visual and measuring instruments).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational abilities.
- Must be a team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to work standing for long periods and lift/move objects as needed.
