Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in manufacturing, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a batch-making or compounding role is highly desirable. Experience in a similar industry (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage, etc.) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of mixing and blending techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and following technical documentation and SOPs.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and documentation.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
Working Conditions:
- Hours: Full-time, with potential for shifts or overtime depending on production schedules.

Responsibilities of position

|
The Batch Maker / Compounder is responsible for preparing and mixing raw materials according to specific formulations and recipes to produce finished products. This role involves accurately measuring and blending ingredients, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the final product. The Batch Maker / Compounder will adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards while operating equipment and handling materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Batch Preparation: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and formulations to mix raw materials and create batches of products. Ensure accurate measurement and blending of ingredients.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain mixing and compounding equipment such as mixers, blenders, and other machinery. Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Quality Control: Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure the batch meets specifications. Record and report any deviations or irregularities to the supervisor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of batch production, including quantities, ingredients, and any changes made during the process. Complete batch production logs and reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard safety procedures.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies. Notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to batch preparation, such as ingredient inconsistencies or equipment malfunctions. Collaborate with maintenance teams if required.
- Training: Assist in training new staff members on batch preparation processes and equipment operation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
