Job Title: Automotive Maintenance Disassembly Technician
Job Location: Rogers
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: Up to $18/hr, M-F 7 am to 5 pm
Position Summary: Assists in the process of prepping vehicles for further processing through shredding operation
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect equipment to ensure it is safe and in working condition
• Drains all liquids in vehicles to appropriate receptacles
• Removes mercury switches & puts in appropriate receptacles
• Assists in placing vehicles within the facility for auto de-man processing and upon completion for further processing thru shredder
• May use power and hydraulic tools to remove auto parts
• Assists in cleaning and maintaining de-man area and equipment
• Removes tires and rims
• Removes battery and stores in appropriate location
• Removes catalytic converter and places in designated bin. May transfer bin when full to other location within facility
• Observes vehicle and removes any nonconforming materials such as tanks, fire extinguishers, solids, etc. Places nonconforming materials in designated locations
• May operate forklift
• Know how to operate a loader
• Know how to operate an excavator/magnet
