POSITION SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS:
Set up, adjust, and operate Machine Shop equipment such as Milling Machines, Engine Lathes, Tool-Post Grinder, Surface Grinder, and the various tools and measuring instruments required to perform precision Machining/Grinding operations. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering instructions. Performs and verify visual and dimensional inspection using manufacturer, company or customer supplied drawings and Manuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate various Machining & Grinding equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and Manuals.
- Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed IAW posted work scopes and safety implementations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years working as a Manual Machinist.
- Proper use and knowledge of Machine Shop tools and measuring equipment.
- Personal Toolbox with basic Machinist tools.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, have basic computer skills.
- Available to work daily overtime and Saturdays.
