Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and logistics
- Proficiency in Magaya freight forwarder software Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken) Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and logistics industry Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
- Experience with logistics and freight forwarding operations
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and company policies
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve business operations and profitability
- Manage and maintain Magaya freight forwarder software regarding accounting
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure successful audit outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Communicate financial information and results to stakeholders
