- 2 year technical college or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 yrs. Tool making experience.
- Understanding of gauging, and dimensional

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to design and construct simple hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
- Adjusting tool parts by cutting and grinding materials to make them fit together
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Complete a daily time card to accurately reflect the amount of time per job activity.
- Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.
- Fits and assembles parts and verifies dimensions and alignment using measuring equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair tooling, and gauges.
- Layout gauges and fixtures to verify design and prove capability.
- Read blueprints, design, maintain, and build gauges, tools, other equipment.
- Set up and operate machine tools(drill, lathes, grinders and milling machines) to machine parts to specifications and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
- Sharing updates with other designers or product managers to track progress and verify requirements
- Testing tools after inspection to ensure they function correctly
