Our world-class automotive supplier located in Lancaster, Ohio, is seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to join their leadership team. The company is committed to operational excellence, quality, and innovation in automotive manufacturing. Position Summary
 The Plant Manager will support the General Manager in directing and coordinating the plant’s activities to achieve optimal efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of automotive manufacturing practices, and a proven record of driving performance through lean principles and strategic planning.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting and executing long-range objectives, plans, and policies.
  • Organize and lead plant operations, personnel, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Foster strong relationships with production teams and enforce operational standards.
  • Review operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and cost-control initiatives.
  • Lead and support cross-functional coordination among departments.
  • Participate in customer relations, new market development, and promotional efforts.
  • Guide the implementation of ISO/IATF quality systems and workplace audits.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and ensure development plans are in place.
  • Champion a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture.
 
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, cost of quality, and continuous improvement
  • Certified in problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma, Red X, Lean, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of Mafact auditing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Technical understanding of plant processes and operations
