- Able to read and understand recipes.
- Experience with operating and using mixers.

| Food production company in Northlake, IL is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Mixers (Production Operators).
Description
Job responsibilities include:
- Read and understand recipes.
- Mix dough and other ingredients for making baked goods (cookies, etc.) according to recipe.
- Have a working knowledge of the mixer, using the time and batch recipe system.
- Clean mixers, work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers
- Troubleshoot process related issues within the boundaries of the recipe
- Use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions.
- Clean & Refill ingredient bins and label the bins with the correct lot number.
- Monitor and assist with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor
- Follow supervisor’s directives and be able to support the shift team as needed
