Maintenance Technician – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Position Summary: We are currently seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shift at our Lancaster, OH facility. This Direct Hire role will support our maintenance team by providing hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and technical support across various processing departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical background with experience in PLCs, robotics, and automation systems.
This position also offers an $8k sign on bonus paid out over your first year!
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to manufacturing lines

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues

Perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and testing of production equipment per specifications

Support production with PLC/HMI troubleshooting and maintenance

Reteach and troubleshoot robotic material handlers and weld cells

Modify and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
-
Assist in procurement and ordering of spare parts with justification

Troubleshoot communication issues within industrial networks
-
Use programming software to make basic logic modifications

Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections

Support Continuous Improvement (C.I.) initiatives for assembly equipment

Assist with mechanical repairs as needed

Ensure all safety standards and policies are followed

Maintain compliance with MAFACT, IATF16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards

Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Technical diploma or certification in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Technology or related field; or equivalent trades qualification and relevant experience

Experience with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, PanelBuilder32, Omron CX-Programmer, and NT-series Support Tool (preferred)

Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs/HMIs and industrial robotics (ABB, Motoman preferred)

Understanding of industrial networks such as DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP

Knowledge of machine safety systems (e.g., ABB Jokab)

Proficiency in working with VFDs, DC, and Servo Drive systems

Experience with Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex, Omron)

Understanding of data tracking, barcode scanning, and RFID technologies

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents

Familiarity with welding processes and panel building

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
