Hourly salary: $32.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience plus 10% shift differential
Hours/days: 3:00pm-11:30pm (Monday thru Friday)

Requirements of position

Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience as a maintenance technician with experience in the planning and control of maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment; process industry preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Physical ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50lbs for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to work in hot and/or cold weather conditions outside and in an open warehouse area.
- Must be able to climb stairs (including open mesh) with varying degrees of pitch.
- Knowledge of all Federal, State, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform with a high degree of skill and proficiency development in electrical instrumentation and controls, mechanical repair, welding, plumbing, pneumatics, along with knowledge of compressed air systems, HVAC, conveyors, mixers, gear boxes, along with some fabrication. Strong analytical skills as well as strong hands-on repair and preventive maintenance experience.
- A self-starter able to work alone with limited supervision.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and departments.
- Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees and all customers.
- Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 5S standards and accountability for parts inventory systems and processes.
- Basic computer software use (Windows, Microsoft Office). JDE and COGZ knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities of position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Summary:
Provide hands-on expertise in the areas of equipment installation, start-up and maintenance for the Bethany, CT plant facility and equipment. Responsible for equipment troubleshooting and repair as well as the training and development of plant maintenance personnel. Leadership of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards.
- Conduct all activities in order to insure a safe work environment that exceeds OSHA and environmental requirements and that are in compliance with corporate policies.
- Oversee/maintain plant HS&E policies and programs in conjunction with the Corporate Plant Manager.
- Ensure that machines/production equipment is installed and functioning to specifications.
- Perform hands-on repairs/maintenance to ensure the safe and proper operation of production equipment and corporate facilities.
- Coordinate outside vendor services in support of maintenance, upkeep, repair and upgrades of machinery, buildings and operations.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and metrics to drive improvement.
- Write operating instructions or programs and work to ensure that proper training is provided to workers to implement operating procedures, safety protocols, and to avoid system malfunctions.
- Identify and execute ways in which to facilitate more cost effective repairs and maintenance.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in procedures and/or equipment repairs/replacement.
- Assure and maintain maintenance spare parts.
- Ensure that all operations and processes comply with ISO/QMS requirements.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and other plant leadership.
- Other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
