The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)  to work at a growing manufacturing company located in Bethany, CT.

Pay/hours for position




 Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday
Salary : $30.00-$40.00 per hour based on experience (with shift differential).

 
Requirements of position



 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.

 Specialized Skills and Experience:
  • Good English language skills both verbal and written (Spanish speaking a plus).
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Must have a reliable vehicle or transportation to commute to Bethany, CT.
 
Job Description:

 POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician provides expertise for equipment installation, start-up and maintenance of plant equipment.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary.

 Preventative Maintenance:
  • Perform routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, performing inspections, cleaning equipment, etc. to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Support production workers during routine preventative maintenance activities; (TPM).

 Equipment Repair 
  • Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Dismantle machinery to remove or replace defective parts.
  • Optimize use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equipment to OEM standards.
  • Repair facility and building items as needed.

 Equipment Troubleshooting 
  • Identify complex electrical, mechanical and pneumatic problems on production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation.
  • Utilize tools to isolate malfunctioning equipment (ex. Multimeter, tachometer, callipers, etc.)

 Administrative
  • Log all work performed into the Company CMMS.
  • Complete end of shift reports communicating between maintenance and production departments.
  • Order replacement parts for stock or parts for repair.
  • Performing housekeeping, making sure area is clean at all times.
