Requirements of position

Skills and Experience:
- Associates Degree in related field or Technical Certificate or equivalent experience.
- 8+ Years experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Microsoft Office knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Able to read and interpret directions and order details.
- Able to communicate both in writing and verbally. Spanish Speaking a plus.
- Basic IT Knowledge of IP Addresses and Routers highly desirable.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and electric schemes.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, mechanics, and pneumatics. Experience with tools and machinery.

|
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Maintenance Technician provides expertise for equipment installation, start-up and maintenance of plant equipment. This position also manages outside vendor relationships and provides project management support to maintenance projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preventative Maintenance:
- Perform routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, performing inspections, cleaning equipment, etc. to maintain equipment reliability.
- Support production workers during routine preventative maintenance activities; (TPM).
- Optimize machine output by maximizing machine cycle times.
- Identify key preventative tasks and implement them into company CMMS, to increase machine reliability.
2. Equipment Repair:
- Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Dismantle machinery to remove or replace defective parts.
- Optimize use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equipment to OEM standards.
- Repair facility and building items as needed.
3. Equipment Troubleshooting:
- Identify complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation.
- Utilize tools to evaluate malfunctioning equipment (ex. Multimeter, tachometer, calipers, etc.)
- Comply with company's LOTO program.
4. Administrative:
- Log all work performed into the Company CMMS.
- Responsible to perform Planner work flow functions in COGZ
- Identify critical component needs and critical material need and establish safety stock requirements within COGZ to ensure components are on site or quickly sourced to minimize downtime
- Manage work orders using COGZ Plant Maintenance
- Complete end of shift reports communicating between maintenance and production departments.
- Order replacement parts for stock or parts for repair.
- Work with other departments to schedule downtime for repairs.
- Performing housekeeping, making sure area is clean at all times.
5. Contractor and Project Management:
- Managing outside contractors to complete large scale projects in the plant such as lighting repairs, new equipment installations, facility upkeep and upgrades, etc.
- Assist engineering department with onsite contractors when engineering cannot be present.
- Identify and define tasks that will be handled by outside contractors or with in-house maintenance technicians.
