Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm – OT as needed
Pay Rate: $24 - $25 (Based on experience)

Position Summary:
The Industrial Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production equipment within a nutraceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery such as tablet presses, encapsulators, blenders, mixers, packaging lines, and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes using schematics, diagrams, and standard tools.
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with cGMP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness for batch production.
  • Complete and document maintenance logs, work orders, and calibration reports accurately and timely.
  • Support validation activities and participate in routine inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical workspaces, tools, and maintenance areas.
  • Follow all OSHA, FDA, and company safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a GMP-regulated or FDA-regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food industry preferred).
Technical Skills:
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience with equipment such as encapsulators, rotary presses, coating machines, and form-fill-seal machines is a plus.
