1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or training related to quality control or inspection are a plus.
2. Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment, preferably in a bench inspection or similar role.
3. Attention to detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects, imperfections, or deviations from specifications.
4. Knowledge of inspection techniques: Familiarity with various inspection techniques, tools, and equipment commonly used in the industry.
5. Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve quality-related issues.
6. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document inspection results, communicate findings, and collaborate with team members.
7. Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
8. Team player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
9. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of position

1. Conduct inspections: Perform meticulous inspections of products and components on the bench, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
2. Quality control: Verify that products meet specified requirements, including dimensions, functionality, appearance, and performance, through visual inspections and using specialized tools or equipment as needed.
3. Defect identification: Identify and document any defects, deviations, or non-conformities during the inspection process, and record the necessary information accurately.
4. Defect removal: Remove defects found during inspections in line with established work procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, including inspection results, observations, and any corrective actions taken. Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance procedures during the inspection process.
7. Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, quality enhancements, or cost-saving measures, and provide suggestions to supervisors or management.
8. Equipment maintenance: Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and tools regularly to ensure accurate measurements and reliable results.
