Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize food/non-food contact surfaces in production areas on a daily basis.
- Perform daily cleaning assignments and assist in general plant and warehouse cleanliness.
- Conduct pre-op inspections and manage inventory of cleaning chemicals.
- Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-50 lbs.
- Work in a wet/humid environment while wearing protective gear.
- Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow a sanitation schedule and develop productivity goals.
- Maintain proper documentation that meets USDA, state, and customer sanitation requirements.
- Ensure clean equipment is released to operations on time without damage.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle repetitive tasks quickly and safely.
- Proactive, responsible, self-motivated, and self-managed.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with USDA sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of food safety practices.
