Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $19-$21/hr (Depending on Level of Experience)
First Shift: 5am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday (Overtime/weekends may be required)
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CNC Waterjet Operator to set up, program, and operate a large-format abrasive waterjet machine to produce precision parts from a variety of materials. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate a large-format CNC abrasive waterjet machine.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create programs, manage cutting paths, and establish offsets (OMAX software experience preferred).
- Import and modify part files while interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances.
- Load and secure materials and create jigs or fixtures as needed for accurate cutting.
- Handle heavy materials and operate large-format bridge-style equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance, including replacing mixing tubes, pump seals, and managing abrasive media.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues involving nozzle wear, pump pressure, and abrasive flow to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and tolerance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform general labor tasks as required.
- Follow all safety procedures when working with high-pressure water systems and manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC machining, CAD, or manufacturing technology.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of CNC machine operating experience; waterjet experience preferred.
- Experience with OMAX Intelli-MAX software is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with large-format, bridge-style CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances and quality standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings.
