Pay/hours for position

 

Base pay compensation:  $17.00 per hour plus a $1.25 per hour shift differential pay for 2nd shift.

3rd Shift is an extra $2.00 per hour shift differential pay.

 

Shift days:   Monday thru Friday

2nd Shift:   3:00pm -11:30pm 

3rd Shift:   11:00pm-7:30am 

 

 

 

 

Requirements of position

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

Successful candidates will have at least 1 year of steel or industrial experience including operating overhead cranes, reach trucks, saws, and front-end loaders; along with the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and communicate effectively with fellow employees and supervisor.

This role also requires a high school diploma or equivalent in addition to being detailed oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks.

Material handlers that must have at least an understanding of and experience with a tape measure (experience/knowledge reading down to 1/16th of an inch as well as being able to convert fractions to decimals) and some basic math skills.

NOTE:  Successful applicants will be required to complete a Drug Screen and background check.

 

 

 

Responsibilities of position

 

 

Job duties include but not limited to: 

 

• Operate automated saw cutting material equipment. 

• Operate general warehouse equipment: air grinder, banding, razor knife.

• Operate overhead pendant crane. 

• Operate side loaders and forklift. 

• Measure/verify material using tape measure, caliper and micrometer to BOL, Packing List, Work Order Pick Ticket, Pre-Release Pick Ticket. 

• Properly identify material. 

• Fill out paperwork. 

• Process orders into computer software. 

• Follow directions on paperwork, special instructions, and from supervisor. 

• Safely handle, move, stack, and load material.
