Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $17.00/hr. Hours: 7am – 3:30pm
Job Description:
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation that can remain on-site during shifts.
- Ability and willingness to travel daily between Marshall, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo, MI.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and standards.
- Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting grinders used for quality inspection activities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work overtime and alternate shifts as business needs require.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and support team members in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between Marshall, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo locations as needed to support customer operations.
- Lead and support quality inspection teams on the production floor.
- Ensure all inspections meet customer quality standards, specifications, and production requirements.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot grinders and other inspection equipment as required.
- Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and daily reporting activities.
- Train, coach, and mentor inspectors on quality procedures, safety requirements, and performance expectations.
- Monitor team productivity, quality performance, and compliance with company and customer standards.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects, inspection results, and corrective actions accurately.
- Address and resolve quality concerns, operational issues, and team conflicts in a timely manner.
- Maintain consistent communication with customer contacts regarding staffing, quality issues, production needs, and project updates.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and the inspection team to ensure successful project execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
