Requirements of position
Our client in Davie, Florida is seeking a Tarper to join their dynamic team on a temp to hire. Full-time and some OT flexible to work some Saturday. Tarper is responsible for covering and securing loads on flatbed trucks using tarps, straps, and other securing equipment to protect materials during transportation. This role requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities of position
Apply and secure tarps overloads on flatbed trailers Use straps, chains, and binders to properly secure cargo Inspect loads to ensure they are safe, balanced, and compliant with regulations Remove traps upon delivery and store equipment properly Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines
