Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, required.
  2. Must have at least three years of related experience required.
  3. High level of experience with excel and formulas.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Job Summary
Staff Accountant will handle complex financial tasks including mid-level general ledger reconciliations and month-end closing procedures. You will report directly to the Accounting team and Controller to collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit preparedness.
 
Essential Functions
  1. General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries, perform ledger, cash account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
  2. Month-End/Year-End Close: Support the full-cycle closing process, including accruals, adjustments, and variance analysis.
  3. Operations Support: Monitor accounts payable/receivable specifically for high-volume financial transactions and reconcile inventory records.
  4. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management review.
  5. Compliance & Audit: Prepare documentation for external auditors and ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations, including sales tax filings.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures, efficiency and automations within tasks and workflows
 
 
Other Functions
  1. Performs other ad hoc reporting as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
  2. Assists with related special projects as required.
 
Other desired skills and abilities
  1. Knowledge of accrual based accounting, order to cash process, procure to pay, inventory accounting
  2. Proficient with Excel and Word. Ability to create spreadsheets and advanced formula experience.
  3. Computer and business software literate.
  4. Experience with ERP systems and processing (Oracle NetSuite a must)
  5. Ability to maintain high level of accuracy and strong detail-orientation.
  6. Outstanding punctuality and attendance.
  7. Team, customer and vendor support centric
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Strong organizational, file management skills along with ability to multi-task.
