Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities of position
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting all aspects of the accounting cycle. This position ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards while assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis for management decision-making. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers monthly. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data and variance analysis. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records. Prepare local, state, and federal tax reports as required. Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. In-office position in Hialeah (33018) $26 per hour
