Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join our aviation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent shipping and logistics experience, be skilled in operating a sit-down forklift, and possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all shipping and receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments according to aviation and company standards
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely to load/unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse
- Verify and record all incoming and outgoing shipments using purchase orders, packing lists, and work orders
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and inventory records
- Communicate daily with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate shipments and deliveries
- Inspect all shipments for quality, accuracy, and compliance requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent shipping experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (aviation experience a plus)
- Proven ability to operate a sit-down forklift (certification preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and shipments
- Basic computer skills (shipping software, email, inventory systems)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry
- Knowledge of export documentation and carrier coordination
- Current forklift certification
Must clear background check and Drug Test
