The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work at a company located in the Albion, MI area!

Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Position Location




Albion, MI
 
Pay/hours for position





Payrate: $17-19/hr (depending on level of experience)
 
Shift: Full-time
Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm
30 Min Lunch: 12pm-12:30pm
Requirements of position




Skills and Qualifications: 
  1. Previous warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures.
  2. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and stand-up fort trucks, forklift certification is preferred.
  3. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  4. Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments accurately.
  5. Knowledge of order picking & packing techniques for efficient order fulfillment.
  6. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  7. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
  8. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings.
 
Responsibilities of position





Responsibilities: 
  1. Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and documenting receipt using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  2. Moving product to various department.
  3. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting products through order picking and order fulfillment processes, ensuring accuracy with RF scanners and barcode systems.
  4. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload trucks safely to move stock within the warehouse.
  5. Pack items securely for shipment using appropriate packaging materials while adhering to safety standards.
  6. Maintain organized stock levels through stocking, inventory management, and updating records in warehouse management systems.
  7. Assist with order picking and packing tasks to ensure timely dispatch of customer orders, including e-commerce shipments.
  8. Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with other departments for efficient order processing and inventory control.
