| SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in production scheduling or planning, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: • Proficient in ERP systems, production scheduling software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook). • Familiarity with inventory management principles and production processes in USDA-regulated facilities a plus. Soft Skills: • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Collaborative approach with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout production areas. • Occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 lbs.) during inventory checks or schedule adjustments. • Exposure to refrigerated environments and manufacturing plant noise when visiting the floor. • Compliance with PPE and all food safety and quality protocols. | |||||
| Responsibilities of position | |||||
| Production Planning & Scheduling:• Create and manage production schedules based on customer orders, inventory needs, and production capacity. • Issue daily work orders to production teams and adjust schedules as needed based on raw material availability and labor resources. • Monitor scheduling adherence and update timelines in real-time when necessary. Inventory Coordination & Raw Material Management:• Work with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and supplies to meet production demands. • Maintain accurate inventory forecasts and plan production to avoid shortages or excess inventory. | |||||
