Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting; nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and FDA/Health Canada regulations for dietary supplements.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a supplement, food, or pharmaceutical R&D or QA/QC lab.
- Knowledge of nutraceutical ingredients (vitamins, minerals, botanicals, amino acids, etc.).
- Experience with analytical testing (HPLC, FTIR, moisture analysis) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 25–50 lbs. occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory or pilot production environment.

Position Summary:
The R&D Technician supports the formulation, development, and testing of new and existing nutraceutical products, including dietary supplements, functional foods, and natural health products. This role works closely with scientists and product developers in executing laboratory experiments, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and bench-top preparation of dietary supplements (capsules, tablets, powders, liquids, gummies, etc.).
- Conduct stability studies, compatibility testing, and product evaluations under supervision.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials following formulation sheets and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document all experimental data, batch records, and observations clearly and accurately.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment such as pH meters, balances, blenders, and dissolution testers.
- Support pilot-scale production and technology transfer to manufacturing when needed.
- Source and test new ingredients and raw materials as directed by R&D scientists.
- Assist in troubleshooting formulation or process issues.
- Ensure lab cleanliness, safety, and compliance with GMP, GLP, and other regulatory standards.
