| Required Qualifications

Experience working within ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems

Working knowledge of core quality tools (FAI, First Piece Inspection, PPAP, Quality Manuals)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reporting, charts)

Proven experience driving corrective actions and continuous improvement

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Hands-on, results-driven mindset
Preferred Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field

Prior experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Leadership role

Experience in high-volume metal fabrication or manufacturing environments

|
| Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Leader to support a fast-paced metal fabrication manufacturing environment. This is a customer-facing role responsible for quality inspections, reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within an AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality system.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable communicating directly with customers while driving internal quality standards and improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Perform WIP, inbound, and outbound inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications

Prepare and complete First Article / First Piece Inspection Reports (FAI)

Generate detailed quality reports documenting inspection results, corrective actions, preventive actions, and trend analysis

Communicate quality status, issues, and resolutions directly with customers and internal stakeholders

Utilize Excel, charts, graphs, photos, and technical narratives to present quality data to management

Establish, track, and report Quality KPIs to support continuous improvement initiatives
-
Lead corrective action and root cause analysis efforts (5 Why, 8D, RCA)

Measure and analyze Total Cost of Quality (TCQ) and identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, and nonconformances
-
Support audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
-
Adapt to changing production priorities and support urgent quality issues as needed
