| We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Quality Inspector to join our growing aviation team. Responsibilities
Aviation Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft parts, components, and related documentation.
- Verify part numbers, serial numbers, model numbers, quantities, descriptions, conditions, and trace documentation for FAA compliance.
- Conduct receiving inspections according to Quality Management System procedures and Quality Manual requirements.
- Inspect packaging for damage, accuracy, identification, and conformity.
- Review certifications, packing lists, airworthiness documentation, and customer specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and document discrepancies, nonconforming material, and quality issues.
- Complete inspection reports, checklists, and inventory logs in the Pentagon database.
- Capture imaging data to document aircraft part condition and traceability.
- Perform stock checks, inventory pulls, pick ticket processing, and cycle counts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support perpetual inventory audits.
- Sort, label, organize, and store aircraft parts in designated warehouse locations.
- Process return material authorizations (RMA) and lot purchases.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Support warehouse organization, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Shipping & Logistics
- Prepare and package aircraft parts for domestic and international shipment.
- Create packing slips, invoices, and shipping documentation.
- Process shipments using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight carrier software.
- Ensure all shipments meet customer deadlines and aviation shipping requirements.
- Handle hazardous materials in compliance with FAA, DOT, and international regulations.
- Build pallets and prepare freight shipments as needed.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of aviation industry experience inspecting aircraft parts and aviation paperwork.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
- Experience with aviation quality inspection, aircraft documentation review, and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, aviation trace documentation, and aerospace quality standards.
- Experience using Pentagon 2000 or similar ERP/inventory management systems preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of aviation inventory control, stockroom operations, cycle counts, and material handling.
- Understanding of FAA, DOT, JAA, and international shipping regulations.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and proper packaging procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret aviation documents, packing lists, certifications, and shipping paperwork.
- Strong computer skills including inventory systems, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced aviation warehouse environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse operations.
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aviation, aerospace, or aircraft parts distribution experience.
- Knowledge of repair station inventory processes.
- Experience with freight carriers and international shipping logistics.
- Leadership experience or ability to train/support team members.
