Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $24-$27/hour
 
Job Description:                                                          
 
The Project Manager is responsible for leading small to medium-sized commercial office furniture projects from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience within the contract furniture industry and can effectively coordinate with clients, trades, installation teams, and internal stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial office furniture projects from kickoff through final closeout.
  • Define project scope, timelines, schedules, labor requirements, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project execution and ensure alignment with project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Monitor labor utilization, installation timelines, and project costs.
  • Review project documentation, specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate logistics, delivery sequencing, and installation activities.
  • Conduct site visits, pre-installation inspections, and final walkthroughs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, trades, building management, and internal teams.
  • Identify project risks and resolve issues to maintain schedule and quality standards.
  • Manage change orders and approvals for work outside of original project scope.
  • Ensure installations meet contract requirements and quality expectations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience with a proven track record in the Commercial Contract Grade Office Furniture industry.
  • Design, interiors, architecture, construction, or space planning background preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of project coordination, installation sequencing, and site planning.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, trades, and internal teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Interior Design, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
