Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
• Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions with ease.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks.
• Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
• The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
• The ability to work in cold (32 to 45*F) and wet environment with air flow from refrigeration units.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Exposure to low level of noise due to close proximity to the work area.
• Exposure to uneven ground; floor angles toward the drainage systems.
• Light machinery operated in work area.

Responsibilities of position
|

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Work at various stations along food production line, processing smoked seafood (salmon) products.
• Entry level workstations to include [thaw and cure, slicing, salad or; scaling operator, skin and trim or packaging.] Cross training opportunities will be available.
• Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
• Adheres to the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Policies, including all items assigned to each task as outlined in our policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Complies with the work rules and standards as established.
• Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on all associates.
• Refers to oral communication, work orders and procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
• Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in all assigned work areas.
• Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with the specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Report any equipment malfunctions, product discrepancies, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
