$30.00-$36.00/per hour  based on experienceHours:  8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday   
Requirements of position



Education & Experience: 
  1. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in production scheduling or planning, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience coordinating with procurement, warehouse, QA and sales teams is a plus.
  4. Proficient in ERP systems, production scheduling software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  5. Familiarity with inventory management principles and production processes in USDA-regulated facilities a plus.
  6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Collaborative approach with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
 
 
Responsibilities of position




Our growing manufacturing client in New Haven, CT is looking for a temp to perm/hire Production Scheduling Coordinator. This is a temp to perm position so the position will begin/start out as a temporary/contract position and could lead to a permanent position after approx.. 3 months.
JOB DETAILS: Work Environment: Primarily office-based with frequent interaction on the production floor at the facility in New Haven, CT
ROLE OVERVIEW: The Production Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing daily and weekly production schedules to ensure efficient plant operations and on-time order fulfillment. This role works closely with production, warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to align inventory levels, raw material availability, and customer orders. The Production Scheduling Coordinator plays a critical role in maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and ensuring optimal use of plant resources
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Production Planning & Scheduling:
  1. Create and manage production schedules based on customer orders, inventory needs, and production capacity. 
  2. Issue daily work orders to production teams and adjust schedules as needed based on raw material availability and labor resources.
  3. Monitor scheduling adherence and update timelines in real-time when necessary.
Inventory Coordination & Raw Material Management:
  1. Work with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and supplies to meet production demands. 
  2. Maintain accurate inventory forecasts and plan production to avoid shortages or excess inventory. 
  3. Assist in monitoring finished goods inventory levels to align production with customer order trends. 
 Cross-Department Collaboration 
  1. Communicate daily production priorities to supervisors, leads, and warehouse staff. 
  2. Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure order fulfillment deadlines are met. 
  3. Collaborate with QA and maintenance teams to account for downtime or equipment availability when planning production. 
Data Management & Reporting 
  1. Maintain and update production schedules and capacity reports within ERP and scheduling systems. 
  2. Analyze production efficiency, yield data, and downtime to support continuous improvement initiatives. 
  3. Prepare and distribute daily and weekly production status updates to leadership
 Process Improvement & Operational EfficiencyIdentify and recommend improvements to scheduling processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and optimize labor and machine use.Support continuous improvement efforts through accurate planning and communication across departments. Monitor BOM’s weekly for consumption accuracy.
