Job Squad is looking for a Production Manager in Alma, GA

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Analyzes work orders to estimate employee hours and create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs.

•Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

•Inspects and measures raw materials and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications.

•Collaborates overseeing inventory control levels and quarterly auditing cycle counts. 

•Establishes and adjusts as needed work procedures to meet production schedules.

•Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

•Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant, department, line or work crew.

•Actively uses Fix software seeking to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. 

•Maintains time and production records.

•Challenges process technology and assists evaluating benefits for capital equipment justification

•Work with plant leadership to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.

•Actively supports the team readiness for third party audits with Quality Assurance.

•Assists in managing customer promotions.

•Helps Supervisors and fills in where needed.

•Tests new equipment on an as-needed basis.

•Works with all Production Supervisors to ensure proper tempering of raw material is being conducted and ensure raw material is prepped and available for production.

•Works with maintenance on scheduling preventative maintenance on equipment.

•Audits GMP practices and training of employees.

•Is HACCP certified and ensure that his management team is HACCP certified.

•Forms a vital part of the plant's safety team. Will participate and promote safety initiatives, Safety inspections, Safety meetings, Safety Committee, Safety investigations.

Ensure that all team members, including supervisors, are trained and have knowledge of the following:

•Works closely with team members to ensure production lines are being scheduled to standard pounds per hour and can attain.

•Collaborate with team members on equipment commissioning, installations, revisions, training, etc.

•Acts as regular contact with USDA.

Regular attendance is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities              

Directly supervises all supervisors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
