Requirements of position
|

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in produce handling, quality control, or food inspection preferred.
- Knowledge of fresh produce types, grading standards, and spoilage indicators.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and handle physical tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to document findings clearly.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping.
- Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed in warehouse, cold storage, or outdoor environments.
- Requires frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures and produce handling equipment.

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Inspect incoming and outgoing fresh produce for quality, freshness, and condition.
- Identify and document defects such as bruising, rot, discoloration, pests, or contamination.
- Verify that produce meets company, industry, and government standards and specifications.
- Record inspection results accurately and report any quality concerns to supervisors or quality control teams.
- Collaborate with suppliers, warehouse, and packing teams to address quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor storage conditions such as temperature and humidity to maintain produce freshness.
- Assist with sample testing and laboratory analysis if required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas and tools
