| Responsibilities of position

|
We are seeking a Power Plant Engineer to support aircraft engine and APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) maintenance and operations. This role provides technical oversight, troubleshooting support, and engineering guidance for engine programs within an aviation/aerospace MRO environment.
Requirement: Candidates must have Aviation/Aerospace MRO experience, including hands-on experience with GTF or V2500 engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support for aircraft engines and APU systems
- Develop and issue work scopes for engine and APU repairs or modifications
- Serve as the technical point of contact for vendors and customers
- Review and interpret Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other technical documents
- Evaluate inspection reports (including borescope inspections) for accuracy and compliance
- Support troubleshooting efforts and maintenance activities both on-site and remotely
- Monitor engine performance trends and recommend maintenance actions
- Assist with engine testing, data analysis, and reporting
- Support parts evaluation, inventory usage, and interchangeability decisions
- Coordinate with internal teams to support maintenance operations and customer requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in a powerplant engineering or similar role
- Required: Aviation/Aerospace MRO experience with GTF or V2500 engines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
