| Responsibilities of position

|||||
| Main Goal:Pick and assemble customer orders accurately. Wrap, palletize, and prepare merchandise for shipping. Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. Operate an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling: Safely operate pallet jacks to move, load, unload, and stack products and materials throughout the warehouse.
Inventory Management: Follow work orders to compile accurate product loads, stage orders, and maintain accurate inventory records, often using RF scanners to update the warehouse management system.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of pallet jacks to ensure proper functionality and report any mechanical issues to management.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
Coordination and Teamwork: Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
Documentation: Comply with shipper/receiver documentation and maintain accurate records of goods.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating manual and/or electric pallet jacks.
Safety: A strong commitment to safety procedures and awareness of potential hazards.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and to stand for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to task accuracy to ensure correct product placement and inventory tracking.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a warehouse team.
Experience: Experience with material handling equipment is often preferred.
Work Environment
Warehouse Setting: The work is performed in a busy warehouse or distribution center environment.
Physical Demands: Involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Fast-Paced: Operators work in a fast-paced environment to meet operational demands.
