Job Summary:
As an experienced Parts Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts department. Your duties will include accurately identifying, locating, and retrieving parts, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Parts Identification and Retrieval:
- Accurately identify and locate parts using various reference materials, including parts catalogs and computer systems.
- Retrieve parts from inventory shelves, bins, or warehouse storage areas efficiently.
- Verify part numbers and quantities to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Offer product knowledge and advice to customers to help them select the correct parts.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and stock rotations.
- Report any discrepancies or low-stock items to the Parts Manager.
- Help with receiving and stocking new inventory shipments.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the parts warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintain a well-organized storage system to ensure easy access to parts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a parts department or related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of forklift parts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management systems.
