Key Responsibilities
Practice Operations & Patient Experience
- Supervise Daily Workflows: Coordinate front-desk operations, patient check-ins, and appointment scheduling to maximize daily clinic flow.
- Patient Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution, maintaining a compassionate environment.
- Records Management: Oversee the accuracy, security, and maintenance of Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems.
Financial & Revenue Cycle Management
- Billing Oversight: Manage full-cycle medical billing, coding (ICD-10/CPT), insurance verifications, and accounts receivable collections.
- Budgeting: Control the practice's operating budget, audit office expenditures, and negotiate contracts with medical supply vendors.
Staff Leadership & Compliance
- Human Resources: Recruit, onboard, train, and schedule administrative staff, fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and labor laws, updating practice policies as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in medical office management or healthcare administration.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software and major EHR/EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts).
- Certifications: Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) or Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) is a strong plus.
- Core Skills: Deep understanding of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance reimbursement processes.
