Pay and Hours: $28/hr.-$35/hr.
Position Summary
Ocean LCL Import Specialist – Job Description (3-5 years’ experience)- $28-$35hr Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
- Manage end-to-end Ocean LCL (Less-than-Container Load) import shipments, from booking and documentation through final delivery.
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, CFS warehouses, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Review and process import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and delivery orders.
- Track vessel schedules, cargo availability, devanning, customs clearance, and final delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, arrival information, delays, and delivery arrangements.
- Monitor and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, demurrage/detention issues, and documentation problems.
- Prepare and verify shipment details in the company’s transportation/logistics system. – we use IES
- Coordinate LCL consolidations/deconsolidation and ensure accurate cargo handling and delivery.
- Review freight invoices and assist with billing
- Maintain accurate shipment records and provide timely updates to customers and internal departments.
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure high-quality customer service and efficient shipment execution.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, carrier requirements, and U.S. import regulations.
