1st SHIFT: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | $16.50/hr.
2nd SHIFT: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | $18.50/hr.
3rd SHIFT: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | $17.75/hr.
Job Description:
JobSquad is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Molding Operators to join our client in Battle Creek, MI that is a leading manufacturer of advanced fiber-based products designed to solve noise, vibration, and thermal challenges in the automotive and industrial sectors. This position supports molding, oven, and trimming operations in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality products while meeting production goals.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment preferred
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, SOPs, and work instruction
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–10-hour shifts
• Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and repetitive movements
• Ability to work near industrial ovens and manufacturing equipment
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures
• Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, and other protective equipment
Responsibilities of position
- Monitor oven cycles to ensure proper temperature, timing, and product quality
- prepare materials for production by staging fiber blankets and loading them into industrial ovens according to specifications
- Transfer heated materials into molds and operate molding equipment to form parts
- Operate waterjet and/or trim press equipment to remove excess material and finish parts
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Label, package, and document finished products according to company standards
- Track production, material usage, and scrap in the Plex system
- Report on equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards to leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S standards
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet production goals
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
