Job Title 

Mark Andy P5 Press Operator 

Position Location 

Grand Rapids, Michigan 49512 

Pay/hours for position 

$25.00/hr.  Hours: 7am – 3:30pm 

Requirements of position 

• Valid Driver’s License 

• 2–3 years’ experience on a Mark Andy P5 or similar flexo press. 

• Strong understanding of flexographic printing, inks, substrates, and die cutting. 

• Ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot the press independently. 

• Experience with color matching and using basic quality tools. 

• Able to read job tickets and follow production specs. 

• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. 

• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts. 

• Reliable transportation and good attendance. 

• Willing to work overtime or different shifts as needed. 

Responsibilities of position 

• Set up, operate, and monitor the Mark Andy P5 press to produce high-quality labels. 

• Handle all press setups: plate mounting, ink mixing, material threading, and die cutting. 

• Perform routine checks to maintain print quality, color consistency, and registration. 

• Troubleshoot issues (web breaks, ink flow, tension) to minimize downtime. 

• Complete quick, accurate changeovers based on production schedules. 

• Inspect finished product using quality tools and correct defects as needed. 

• Maintain proper ink viscosity and keep press and work area clean. 

• Follow all safety and material-handling procedures. 

• Communicate with leads and team members to meet daily production goals. 

• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and press adjustments. 

• Accurately complete all production paperwork and labels. 

• Assist with training new or less experienced operators as needed.
