The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Mark Andy P5 Press Operator to work at a company located in the Grand Rapids, MI area!

$25.00/hr.  Hours: 7am – 3:30pm
 
Requirements of position



 
  1. Valid Driver’s License
  2. 2–3 years’ experience on a Mark Andy P5 or similar flexo press.
  3. Strong understanding of flexographic printing, inks, substrates, and die cutting.
  4. Ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot the press independently.
  5. Experience with color matching and using basic quality tools.
  6. Able to read job tickets and follow production specs.
  7. Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  8. Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
  9. Reliable transportation and good attendance.
  10. Willing to work overtime or different shifts as needed.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Responsibilities of position



  1. Set up, operate, and monitor the Mark Andy P5 press to produce high-quality labels.
  2. Handle all press setups: plate mounting, ink mixing, material threading, and die cutting.
  3. Perform routine checks to maintain print quality, color consistency, and registration.
  4. Troubleshoot issues (web breaks, ink flow, tension) to minimize downtime.
  5. Complete quick, accurate changeovers based on production schedules.
  6. Inspect finished product using quality tools and correct defects as needed.
  7. Maintain proper ink viscosity and keep press and work area clean.
  8. Follow all safety and material-handling procedures.
  9. Communicate with leads and team members to meet daily production goals.
  10. Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and press adjustments.
  11. Accurately complete all production paperwork and labels.
  12. Assist with training new or less experienced operators as needed.
