an ISO 9001 certified company, has a Manufacturing Equipment Operator position available in their Miami, Florida manufacturing plant (Opa-locka Airport Area).
SUMMARY
Operates high-speed machineries for the manufacture of cigarettes in a world-class FDA regulated manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Follow all documented procedures to ensure employee safety and product quality.
· Setting up machine for production. Feed raw materials on machine.
· Control and adjust machine settings, and performs minor mechanical adjustments.
· Perform inspection of products at regularly scheduled intervals.
· Accurately and legibly completes paperwork following Good Documentation Practice.
· Maintain the work area clean and organize which includes sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
· Clean and wash machine parts at scheduled times.
· Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
· Adheres to GMPs and OSHA regulations
· Other duties as assigned.
* Note: This is a rotating shift, one week 5:30am to 2:00pm and the following week 2:30pm to 11:00pm *
Qualifications and Skills
· High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
· Minimum of two (2) years related experience as a machine operator
· Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and hand tools
· Computer literate
· Attention to detail
· Bilingual English/Spanish
