| Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Cleans parts prior to inspection
2. Sandblasts parts to remove contamination prior to inspection and assembly 3. Cuts, burns, and removes wires from motors for winding department
4. Paints tools and machines as needed
5. Assists winding department with copper buckets
6. Responsible for building maintenance such as washing windows, changing light bulbs, etc.
7. Maintains clean shop floor by sweeping and removing grease and oil stains
8. Maintains tools and machines to ensure proper safety requirements
9. Remove refuse and disposes properly
10. Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
11. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
12. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to speak effectively with management and co-workers
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instruction
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables Equipment: Forklift Steam cleaner Power washing equipment Crane Parts washer Cut-off saw Sandblaster Physical Demands:
• Required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, or hear
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to climb and balance
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Weight more than 50 pounds requires general material handling equipment; 2 persons lift or direction from supervisor
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Work Environment:
• Regularly exposed to moving cranes and forklift trucks
• Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration • Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
• Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
