| PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be capable of climbing ladders, using lifts, elevated platforms and working at heights. Uses safety gear as required.
- Mental and visual ability to identify various parts, reading mechanical and electrical drawings, instructions, gauges, micrometers & meters. Must be able to do basic math calculations to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach job assignments and perform the tasks required. You may be occasionally required to work in confined spaces such as ovens, proof boxes, freezers and bulk storage bins or tanks. Physical activities required are climbing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, speaking and hearing.
- Capable of understanding written and spoken instructions in English, reading equipment manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings, measuring instruments and work schedules as posted.
Work Experience
Associates degree in any industrial discipline and combined 3 years of experience in industrial or food plant maintenance is required. Formal refrigeration training and HVAC experience is a plus.

| Responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing existing and new equipment in an orderly and cost-effective manner. Performs building maintenance projects as assigned. Works efficiently, safely and with a minimum amount of disruption to the production process. Documents all required work activities utilizing computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
- WORK SCHEDULE:
- Attends regularly and on time to an assigned schedule with a five (5) day workweek to include occasional six (6) day schedule, including weekends. Must be open to working morning, afternoon or evening shift. Shifts are scheduled for eight (8) hours, some overtime will be required.
- JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance tasks as assigned or required.
- Working from schematics and/or mechanical drawings, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, moving, setting up and operating support and production machinery. Must have to ability to make minor decisions in accomplishing assigned work. Possesses ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Possess working knowledge of power distribution, refrigeration, hydraulics, steam boilers and compressed air systems.
- Possess formal training in or a working knowledge of industrial electrical controls, including digital and analog devices, programmable controllers, servo drives, inverters and related components.
- Able to use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical control systems to include both 120VAC & 24VDC.
- Possess knowledge of 480V three phase power systems, breakers and distribution; ability to install, wire and test three phase motors and reduction drives.
- Maintains accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, and maintenance calls.
- Orders required spare machine or project parts as needed through CMMS.
- Responds to maintenance and line stoppage calls prepared to provide emergency repairs safely and effectively.
- Follows department & company policies and OSHA regulations to ensure safe work habits and conditions for you and co-workers. Responsible for preventing loss or injury due to improper or unsafe operation of equipment. Responsible for following lock-out/tag-out procedures as well as specific procedures dealing with confined spaces and hazardous materials.
- Collaboration with co-workers and management to utilize best practices, continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing concepts for operations wherever possible.
- Observes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and maintains a clean and safe work area within the maintenance shop and on the production floor.
- Displays initiative in recognizing work to be done, as well as judgment and ingenuity in troubleshooting problems.
