Responsibilities of position
The Inventory Control Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all inventory materials and associated documentation meet Owl Aerospace’s Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. This role performs receiving, in-process, and outgoing inspections of aircraft parts, supports inventory control functions, and ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, and safety standards. --- Key Responsibilities · Perform incoming, outgoing, and receiving inspections of aircraft parts and related documentation · Verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, condition, traceability, certifications, and packing lists · Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies, nonconformances, and improvement opportunities · Complete inspection checklists and accurately enter data into the Pentagon system · Process stock check requests, pick tickets, cycle counts, and inventory audits · Sort, store, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations · Capture and maintain imaging data documenting part condition · Process lot purchases, RMAs, packing slips, and invoices · Prepare, package, and ship materials to ensure protection from damage and environmental exposure · Build pallets and handle hazardous materials when required · Process shipments using FedEx, UPS, and DHL software and meet internal/external shipping deadlines · Support vendor and carrier coordination to ensure service compliance · Assist with special assignments such as Hazmat, Export Compliance, or Dangerous Goods (Level II–III) --- Physical Demands & Working Conditions
· Regular sitting, standing, walking, typing, reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling · Ability to lift up to 45 lbs · Moderate exposure to warehouse/shop noise and conditions · Overtime may be required · Minimal exposure to hazardous materials --- Tools & Materials · Computer systems, keyboards, calculators, and office equipment · General office supplies · Packing and shipping materials --- Qualifications by Level Inventory Control Quality Inspector – Level I Education & Experience · High school diploma or equivalent · 2+ years of warehouse, stockroom, or shipping/receiving experience · Minimum 1 year aviation industry experience inspecting aircraft parts and documentation Skills & Knowledge · Working knowledge of material handling, stock checks, pick tickets, and cycle counts · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills · Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, databases, email) · Good verbal and written communication skills · Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
